Hey Hey!

This is my 1st Blog on this new website. And I ain’t much of a writer but here goes…

I was invited over in April 2018 to AITM (Anjuman Institute of Technology and Management) Bhatkal to conduct a workshop on Digital Marketing and Entrepreneurship for the MBA students.

In short, this is how it unfolded :

Took a 11 hour bus from Bangalore to Bhatkal which travelled the coastal route alongside Mangalore and Udupi. Bhatkal, is a port town in the Uttara Kannada District of the South Indian state of Karnataka. Upon reaching Bhatkal, I checked in to my hotel and then got ready to meet the MBA faculty who gave me a warm welcome and then went straight to the classroom to begin the workshop for the MBA students.

Day 1 :

Began with a quick introduction about me and shared an overview and flow of topics for the 2 days. Then stepped into What & Why of Digital Marketing & touched upon all the topics at an overview.

Post this I covered some practical session on how to use Google Adwords. This was followed by some activities on Social Media Marketing.

Later in the evening, one of the faculty showed me around the town – Beaches, Light House,etc.

Day 2 :

This was an exciting day as I spoke of my journey so far as an Entrepreneur -how I began, my obstacles, wins and learnings, etc.

Another interesting part here was that during my discussion with students, I discovered that there were 3 Hustlers who were studying MBA as well as doing their own Business in parallel. So, I invited them on stage to share their journey so that others who were interested could draw some learnings.

We then stepped into Group Discussion and covered few topics like Entrepreneurship vs Doing a Job, Digital Marketing vs Offline Marketing.

Finally, we wrapped it up with some inspiring videos on Team Building, Young Indian Achievers Stories which was the best climax to the workshop.

Post this, in the evening the students drove me along to the Murdeshwar Beach, then visited Bhatkal local markets (Dubai Market), also picked up some famous Bhatkal Halwa. :)

All in all, this was a great short trip.
